Is barbecuing possible in Moraira?
Barbecuing is all the rage in Northern Europe . If you don’t have a Green Egg or something similar in your garden, you simply don’t participate anymore. You also see one barbecuing program after another on television. We have apparently become a real barbecuing country.
The English who go on holiday to Spain also bring their “new hobby” with them. Here in Moraira, especially in the summer months, you can smell various barbecuing in the afternoon. Because yes, why wait until the evening, it’s a holiday!
Popular among the Northern Europe nation
The fact that barbecuing has become a popular activity has not escaped the attention of the Spanish. The Spanish also find barbecuing a tasty activity, but they don’t light the coals as often as we do. That doesn’t mean that most supermarkets don’t respond to this barbecuing need in different ways. The Pepe la Sal supermarket already has a very extensive BBQ range, but recently they even added Wagyu steaks to their range. This is really the crème de la crème of steak and tastes delicious after a while on the barbecue.
Butchers in Moraira?
Nowadays there is also a real Dutch and Belgian butcher in Moraira and the surrounding area. The English Butcher has recently opened in Moraira. And despite the name suggesting otherwise… the butcher is run by a Dutch family. But the name is still English so they some English specialties.
Villa with barbecue in Moraira
All our holiday homes are equipped with a barbecue. And I’m not talking about an electric barbecue or a gas barbecue, because that’s cheating a bit. No, this is the real deal, a barbecue on charcoal! In my opinion, this is the only really tasty type of barbecue. Just the sight of the glowing coals and then the familiar smell immediately evokes a summer feeling in me. Delicious!
Supermarket in Moraira
The supermarkets in the immediate vicinity have a wide range of fresh meat that can be placed on it. But of course you could also decide to prepare something else. How about fresh fish, marinated in herbs and oil and then put on the barbecue in an aluminium package? Or fresh prawns marinated in garlic oil and then roasted on the BBQ? The Mercadona supermarket is highly recommended for fresh fish! From my own experience I can certainly recommend this. If you want to eat sauces with it, the supermarket here provides many (Dutch) sauces such as: garlic sauce, satay sauce and I have even come across joppie sauce here!
