Dinner does not have to be the end of the evening in Moraira. In the town centre you will find lively pubs and cocktail bars, there is regular live music and several bars stay busy until well after midnight.
Do not expect a large nightlife district full of nightclubs like you might find in bigger Spanish resorts. Nightlife in Moraira is smaller, more relaxed and spread around the town centre and a few locations just outside it. The advantage is that many places are within walking distance of each other, so you can easily combine dinner, drinks and a later bar in one evening.

Royal Beach Pub

Right in the centre of Moraira, Royal Beach Pub has been a popular place for drinks for many years. During the day and early evening you can sit outside for coffee or a drink, while the atmosphere becomes livelier later in the evening. Its central location makes Royal Beach particularly convenient if you simply want a few drinks after dinner without leaving the town centre.

Our tip: one of the easiest places to walk into after dinner in the centre. You do not need to plan an entire night out in advance.

Wine Bar La Experiencia

La Experiencia is located in Moraira’s main shopping street and combines the atmosphere of a café, wine bar and cocktail bar. There is a strong focus on Spanish wines, including wines from the region, but you can also order sangria, cocktails and smaller bites. The atmosphere is relaxed, making La Experiencia particularly pleasant at the beginning of the evening.

Our tip: a good choice for a glass of wine or cocktail before dinner, but equally enjoyable for a drink afterwards.

Live Music in SAXO Disco Garden

For live music in Moraira, Saxo remains one of the best-known venues. Throughout much of the year, its large outdoor garden hosts live performances. The programme ranges from bands and singers to tribute acts covering well-known international artists.  Saxo also has an indoor area and generally stays open considerably later than most ordinary cafés and terraces in Moraira.

Our tip: always check the current programme before you go. The acts change constantly and the performance scheduled for that evening has a big influence on the atmosphere.

Later in the evening in Moraira

Around midnight many restaurant terraces start to become quieter, but that does not mean Moraira goes to sleep. Several bars in the centre are only just getting started.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a small and long-established late-night bar in the centre of Moraira. Later in the evening the music gets louder, DJs take over and people start dancing. It is not a large nightclub but a compact bar that is easy to end up in when dinner and a few drinks have not quite finished the evening.

Our tip: save Las Vegas for the second half of the evening. There is little reason to be there at eight o’clock; around midnight it becomes a different place.

La Cucaracha

La Cucaracha is located on Plaza de la Sort and has also been part of Moraira’s nightlife for many years. Its terrace on the square is pleasant for an earlier drink. As the evening progresses the atmosphere becomes livelier and more people move inside.

Our tip: particularly enjoyable with a group when the evening somehow becomes rather longer than originally planned.

Floridita Cocktail Pub

Floridita is also located in central Moraira and is very much aimed at the later part of the evening. Cocktails, music and occasional live entertainment mean that it can still be lively here well after midnight.

Our tip: Floridita is somewhere we would visit after dinner and drinks rather than a place to start the evening.

Zensa Moraira

If you are looking for a more pronounced nightlife experience, Zensa offers something quite different from the bars in the town centre. Zensa combines a beach club and swimming pool with cocktails, DJs, live entertainment and events. During the day the emphasis is on the pool and beach-club atmosphere, while events later in the afternoon and around sunset increasingly focus on music and entertainment. Zensa also has a separate nightclub with DJ sessions, themed events, lounge areas and VIP sections.

Our tip: Zensa is not where we would go for one quiet drink after dinner. Choose it when the music, DJs and atmosphere are meant to be an important part of the evening.

That is one of the things we like about Moraira: the nightlife is varied enough for a good night out, but compact enough that you do not spend half the evening travelling between venues.

Is Moraira lively at night outside the summer season?
Yes. Several restaurants and bars remain open outside the summer season. There are generally more events and live performances during the busier months, and opening hours can be shorter outside high season.
