Paid parking in Moraira

Since February 1, 2023, the blue zone is back in Moraira and Teulada. In concrete terms, this means that you can park for a maximum of 2 hours in the center of Moraira. The same applies in the center of Teulada.

Where is the paid parking in Moraira

Easily said, the entire center of Moraira is paid parking with the exception of the large parking lot where the market is on Friday morning. This large car park will remain free. There is only a parking restriction here on Thursday evening and Friday morning due to the market. Large signs indicate exactly which areas are blocked for this.

What is the timetable?

There are different periods and periods for paid parking. Below you will find a schedule of the different periods and periods;

From November 1 to March 31
- Weekdays: from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm
- Saturday: from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm
- Sundays and public holidays: free parking

From April 1 to June 30
- Weekdays: from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm and from 04:00 pm to 08:00 pm
- Saturday: from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm

From July 1 to August 31

What does paid parking cost?

For non-residents, the rates for parking in the center of Moraira are as follows:

Non-residents
€ 0,25 for 20 minutes
€ 0,30 for 22 minutes
€ 0,35 for 25 minutes
€ 0,40 for 29 minutes
€ 0,45 for 32 minutes
€ 0,50 for 36 minutes

The maximum duration is 2 hours. Vehicles with a disability card are allowed to park paid for a maximum of 4 hours.

Pay at the parking meter

All blue zones in Moraira have parking machines. You can make different choices on these machines, namely;
Resident, non-resident or disabled. Depending on this choice, the hourly rate is determined. Then enter the license plate of the car and indicate how long you want to park. Finally, pay by cash or card and place the receipt under the windscreen.

You can also buy the parking ticket via an app on your phone. In the appstore and playstore you will find the correct app called ‘ElParking-App para conductores’ under ‘El Parking’. This app is also available in English and installation is self-explanatory. You need a credit card to link it to the app for paying the parking ticket.

Automated check of payment receipts

Vehicles that can scan license plates drive around in Teulada and Moraira. On the basis of these scans, the enforcers can check whether parking in the blue zone has actually been paid for. If you have purchased a ticket via the app, you can also pay the fine via the app if you return too late. If you bought a ticket at the machine and it has expired, you will find the fine under the windscreen wiper.
