Spain and good food are basically synonymous. Mediterranean cuisine is known worldwide and considered by many to be very tasty. The Spaniards themselves also speak highly of their own Spanish cuisine. You can see this, among other things, in the different meals they have. In fact, these differ from our eating habits.
For instance, the Spanish early breakfast is preferably sweet and the late breakfast savoury. Lunch is elaborate and usually consists of a 3-course daily menu. Oh yes, lunchtime in Spain is usually around 02.00 pm. Between lunch and dinner there is a bit of snacking and around 9pm it is time for dinner for most Spaniards.
Spain is a large a diverse country. Along the coast of Spain, people mainly eat a lot of fish and seafood. Inland, on the other hand, it is mostly meat that people eat. In Spain, you don’t have to be surprised if a leg of goat is on the menu. Something you won’t easily find on the menu at home.
There is a Club Náutico in every town or village with a port. It is therefore a familiar sight in the many ports in Spain. Here the menu is mainly based on fish, but meat is also on the menu. Remember that the Club Náutico restaurants are always located in the best place in the harbor and your evening cannot go wrong.
